Dieses Projekt mit offenem Ende befasst sich mit der vielfältigen Netz kleiner Bäche im Augsburger Stadtwald.

Ziel ist nicht die gefällige Landschaftsdarstellung, sondern die Untersuchung atmosphärischer und stofflicher Qualitäten dieser Wasserläufe. Mal klar sprudelnd, mal sanft treibend, mal brackig stockend ziehen sich diese Adern durch den Wald.

Die simultane Reflexion und Durchlässigkeit des Wassers schafft Schichtungen: wir nehmen die Oberfläche wahr und blicken gleichzeitig auf den Grund, sehen dazu noch Abbilder der darüber liegenden Blätterdächer und Fragmente von Himmelsblau. So entstehen Überlagerungen in faszinierenden Farbspielen, in denen sich das Auge manchmal erst nach einem Moment zurechtfindet.

Oft taucht das dichte Laub der Bäume und Büsche die Bäche in sanftes Halbdunkel und lässt nur punktuell Lichtakzente durch, die das Wasser milchig durchdringen und eine mitunter fast magische Atmosphäre schaffen.

This open-end project focuses on the diverse network of small streams in the Augsburg City Forest.

The aim is not to create pleasant visual representations of the landscape, but to investigate the atmospheric and material qualities of these waters. At times bubbling and clear, at times gently drifting along, and sometimes brackishly stagnating, these veins run their course through the forest.

The simultaneous reflection and permeability of the water creates layers: we perceive the surface and look at the ground at the same time, complemented by reflected images of the canopies of leaves above and fragments of sky blue. In this way, superimpositions occur in fascinating plays of colour, in which the eye will sometimes find its way only after a moment of contemplation.

The dense foliage of the trees and bushes will often dip the streams into soft twilight and only allow occasional accents of light to break through, which then permeate the water in a milky hue and will sometimes create an almost magical atmosphere.
